Simply stated, this is a beautiful book. It's a story that reminded me that life is a journey. So many of us are like Toby where we become too curious for our own good but yet we have someOne who, no matter how much time passes by, when we find our way again, we are still found valuable and
wanted. It is a must purchase for every household!

I have a huge dislike for sappy books, but that dislike  is quickly dispelled starting around Thanksgiving and ending a few days after Christmas because I love anything having to do with Christmas. I found this on
Freebooksy and downloaded it with the intent of reading it to the kids that I
watch on the weekends. Last night, after all had fallen asleep watching Frosty the Snowman, I finished the book I was reading and decided to scroll through the books on my Kindle to find another one to read. This one seemed to be calling out to me - and I'm glad it did. What a GREAT book!! I love how it taught us the love we have from God by telling a story of a toy soldier, who was made by hand and was truly special. I can't wait until next weekend when I get to share this with the little ones that I watch and I recommend it to anyone, whether you share it with small ones or just curl up under your blanket, as I did, and enjoy it yourself. Truly heart-warming. :)
